PROJECT AND POSITION DESCRIPTION

The predoc will work with Professor Ayres and co-authors on various projects on empirical economics. The current projects focus on education equity, including studying the effects of teacher value-added on different student achievement groups and exploring the impact of avatar instructions in online learning environments. You will be involved in all stages of the research process, from conducting literature review to quantitative analysis and paper drafting.

 

As part of multiple projects, the pre-doc will have the opportunity to develop a broad array of research-related skills.

 

REQUISITE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should be completing or have completed a Bachelors or Master’s degree and have excellent programming skills. Preference will be given to detail-oriented applicants with previous research and programming experience, and a strong interest to pursue a PhD in Economics.
