FACULTY SUPERVISOR(S):
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The predoc will work with Professor Ayres and co-authors on various projects on empirical economics.
The current project focuses on reactive incentives and sunk opportunity costs to test the power of resisted temptation. You will be involved in all stages of the research process for a number of different context RCTs whose primary aim is to pilot test novel approaches for improving individuals’ ability to stick to a “practice quit” program.
As part of multiple projects, the pre-doc will have the opportunity to develop a broad array of research-related skills.
REQUISITE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should be completing or have completed a Bachelors or Master’s degree and have excellent programming skills. Preference will be given to detail-oriented applicants with previous research and programming experience, and a strong interest to pursue a PhD in Economics.
