Hannah Beath

Governor's Fellow

Hannah Beath is a Governor's Fellow in the Department of Public Health's Office of Workforce Development. She has nearly a decade of experience working in the non-profit and public sector along social determinants of health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Hannah organized staffing for testing and, later, vaccination clinics through her work with Connecticut's Community Health Center, Inc., a network of Federally Qualified Health Centers in the state. This prompted her to pursue her MPH at the Yale School of Public Health to study policy and, more specifically, the role of state governments in promoting public health. During graduate school, she held fellowships with the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Hannah is most passionate about work at the intersection of public health and climate change and is excited to further DPH's initiatives in this area during her fellowship. She holds a BA in History from Sewanee: The University of the South, which is located in her home state of Tennessee.
