Joachim Jose Rillo

Joachim Rillo is a Predoctoral Research Fellow working with Professor Stefano Giglio at Yale School of Management and Professor Johannes Stroebel at NYU Stern on how financial markets affect (and are affected by) climate and biodiversity risks. Prior to joining Yale, he worked under Professor Daniel Björkegren at Columbia SIPA on the implementation of machine learning and LLMs in the classrooms of developing countries. Joachim graduated cum laude from Columbia University with a B.A. in Economics and Statistics. He is broadly interested in nonparametric statistics, econometrics, and causal machine learning.
