Social Sciences Research and AI
OVERVIEW
We are excited to invite you to a training on Social Sciences Research and AI led by Antony Ross, a Senior Data Scientist at Stanford University. This specialized workshop invites researchers from the social sciences to delve into the world of Large Language Models (LLMs), with a focus on ChatGPT. The workshop begins with an introduction to what LLMs are, followed by a hands-on guide to navigating and customizing the ChatGPT environment. A significant emphasis is placed on prompt engineering, from foundational principles to advanced techniques, including customizing ChatGPT for your specific purpose by combining instructions and extra knowledge—called GPTs. The workshop uniquely tailors its content to the social sciences, offering practical applications and exercises that align with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. This workshop is an invaluable opportunity for social science academics to harness the potential of LLMs in enhancing their research and pedagogical practices.
Registration is limited to 25 individuals.
