Curtis Schaefer is a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the Yale School of Management working under Jason Abaluck, specializing in applied econometrics and health economics. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with a triple major in Mathematics, Economics, and Data Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Curtis's research experience comes from a series of independent projects in sports analytics, including an Elo-based NFL rating system and a college football television viewership model using fixed effects and counterfactual scheduling assumptions. His research interests include applied econometrics, health economics, and quantitative approaches to problems involving strategic behavior and uncertainty.
