Discovering new policy solutions to today's biggest health care questions.
The Tobin-Cowles Health Economics & Policy Program brings together health economists at Yale University to discuss research on health care in the United States and to discover new policy solutions.
The program is a joint effort of the Tobin Center for Economic Policy and the Cowles Foundation for Research in Economics. The program is co-directed by leading health economists Janet Currie and Zack Cooper.
Every semester, the program hosts two campus seminars. The first seminar is organized for academics to explore new and emerging research. The second seminar zeroes in on a timely issue in health care policy and aims to bring together academics, policymakers, and practitioners to explore paths forward for policy.
On April 10, 2025, the program hosts its flagship Health Economics Day–a major gathering of leading health economists at Yale University.
