Ja'nae Jackson

Faculty Supervisor: Allison Harris

Ja’nae Jackson is a Tobin Center / Institution for Social and Policy Studies (ISPS) Pre-Doctoral Fellow working for Professor Allison Harris on projects related to the politics of race and the criminal legal system. Her primary research interests include American politics with a focus on Black politics, intersectional advocacy, and the carceral state. Ja’nae has been recognized as a 2021 American Political Science Association Ralph Bunche Scholar and a 2022 Society for Political Methodology Expansions Initiative Fellow. Before coming to Yale, she completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science at Texas Christian University.
