Katharine (Katie) Berdy

Katie joins the Governor’s Fellows Program from Accenture where she served clients across the public and private sectors. Her project experience in the private sector includes the re-design of a digital benefits platform for an insurance company and project management for the integration of two large investment banks. Most recently, Katie supported the Federal Funds Office within the Executive Office for Administration and Finance in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. For 18 months, Katie led project management efforts to track the $115 B that the Commonwealth received from the CARES Act and American Rescue Plan Act, understand how the funds could be spent under U.S. Treasury guidelines, and monitor actual spending by municipalities and state agencies. Katie has developed deep expertise in the landscape of COVID-19 federal funds and is passionate about leveraging state government resources to make services more accessible and to improve the lives of those it serves.

Katie received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Columbia University and enjoys running, hiking, and skiing.
