Xinyuan Cao is a Predoctoral Fellow at the Tobin Center for Economic Policy and the Department of Economics at Yale University, working with Professors Joseph Altonji and John Eric Humphries on topics in labor economics. Prior to joining the Tobin Center, she completed the Yale IDE program in 2026 and spent a semester as a visiting student at UC Davis in 2024. Her research interests include the economics of education, household decision-making, and consumption inequality.
