Apply for Fellowship
Thank you for your interest in the Connecticut Governor’s Fellowship program. Fellowship opportunities are released periodically with applicants accepted typically in cohorts of 4-6 Fellows. We are currently recruiting for the next cohort of fellows to onboard in the Fall 2024.
Fellows are typically early-career professionals with a passion for public service and the future of Connecticut. The program generally looks for fellows who have 4+ years of work experience with a strong preference for individuals with a MBA, JD, or government/public policy related masters degree (bachelors required).
While the individual nature of each position will vary, general responsibilities have included:
- Designing and implementing new economic and social recovery programs that effectively leverage federal relief funds;
- Crafting new policies and improving existing ones to promote equitable, inclusive growth, through research, stakeholder engagement, and analysis;
- Coordinating efforts and resources across agencies and stakeholder groups;
- Partnering with towns, cities, and non-profits to implement critical programs and services.
Our program is strengthened when a diversity of backgrounds, identities, and viewpoints are represented. We encourage members of historically underrepresented groups in economics to apply, including women, non-binary, LGBTQ+, Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and first-generation low-income (FGLI) college students, among others.
